Australian immigration
For all visa and citizenship applications, you must provide your identity, not have made false or misleading statements previously, including providing false documents to the Department, be of good character and good health.
Processing times vary depending on the visa type and the number of applications the Department is processing. You can view processing times on the Department’s website.
No, but usually it will need to be valid for the visa application to be granted. We recommend you hold a valid passport whilst applying for a new immigration application.
Some skilled visa application require that your skills are positively assessed by the authorised agency prior to lodging the expression of interest or visa application. We can advise if this will be required during our initial consultation.
Australian permanent residents or citizens may be able to sponsor a non-Australian for a Partner visa if:
- You are an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen
- Meet the character requirements
- Be the right age
- Not have previously sponsored anyone else in the last 5 years and no more than one other sponsorship
That will depend on your circumstances. There are many pathways to permanent residency in Australia- via family, skilled, refugee, business and investment visa programs. It is a journey for most, but you may be able to apply straight away. Book a consultation so we can understand your situation and assess the best pathway for you.
This will depend on a number of factors, but for most people over 18 who are not NZ citizens, you will need to:
- Have been living in Australia on a valid visa for 4 years immediately before the day you apply
- Hold a permanent visa or an NZ SCV for the last 12 months immediately before the day you apply
- Not have been absent from Australia for more than 12 months in total in the past 4 years, including no more than 90 days in total in the 12 months immediately before applying, and
- Be of good character

We assist clients with business sponsorships, labour agreements, partner visa applications, citizenship applications, family visas, work visas, skilled permanent residence applications, regional visa applications, visitor visas, working holiday visas, business & investment visas and student visas. We can also help you appeal a decision if it has been made incorrectly. We don’t assist with protection visa applications.
During our initial consultation we will ask you about your circumstances and objectives to determine whether we think we can assist you. If we can help, we will then provide you with a services agreement outlining the fees and the terms and conditions for our services. If we don’t think we can help, we will give you an honest assessment or perhaps refer you to another body who may be able to assist you.
You will be asked to pay for our services as we complete them, including the initial consultation. Once your services have been provided, we will ask for payment visa bank deposit or credit card.
No, it would be wrong for us to do that, and it would also be a breach of the Migration Agents Code of Conduct. However, in some circumstances, under our no win, no fee agreement, we may offer to refund our professional service fee if your application is not successful. The Department’s website is the best place to get reliable free information. Our business is to provide correct, knowledgeable, up to date, honest and tailored advice to our clients. After almost a decade, we have a lot of value to offer and we charge for our time and expertise. Please refer to the cost page for a general idea of our professional fees.
